DEAN WEGNER PREDICTS DYNAMIC YEAR FOR 2007 HOUSING MARKET
PHOENIX, Ariz. – Mortgage originator Dean Wegner has an optimistic outlook for the 2007 Phoenix housing market. His sought-after views brought good news to local homebuyers and real estate agents when Wegner addressed the topic at his January 2007 television and speaking engagements. The picture of the residential housing market looks bright according to Wegner’s interview with KTVK 3 TV’s news anchor Scott Pasmore for the “Real Estate Reality” segment that aired on Good Day Arizona on January 5, 2007. Wegner’s expertise on the Phoenix marketplace brought predictions of a “dynamic year” with housing sales “red hot by summer.”
“The outlook is good for 2007,” Wegner said. “If selling a home expect 96.2 percent of the asking price.” For six years running Wegner has held the title of Lion’s Gate Mortgage’s “Loan Officer of the Year,” so he also offered valuable insights into securing residential loans. “Go for a 30-year fixed rate mortgages. Credit is absolutely crucial with a good FICO score starting at 700.”
“Raising Your FICO Score” was also the topic of discussion when KNXV ABC 15’s Smart Shopper Daphne Munro interviewed Wegner for a segment that aired on January 16, 2007. Wegner’s expertise extends as a certified consumer credit counselor. A new year brings new shopping opportunities, so consumers in the market for big-ticket items received helpful tips on achieving the perfect FICO score.
At the monthly meeting of the Independent Rental Owners Council (IROC) on January 16, 2007, Wegner offered an informative “2007 Housing Forecast.” The mayor of Phoenix Phil Gordon delivered the keynote speech with an update on the nation’s fifth largest city. As the fastest-growing state in the United States with respect to population, economy and employment growth, it’s no wonder that Wegner remains optimistic about Arizona’s housing market in 2007.
Dean Wegner has built a reputable referral-based lending business known as Team Dean, housed in a private-office of Lion’s Gate Mortgage at 7325 N. 16th Street, Suite 130 in Phoenix. Team Dean will be expanding into a new office location sometime in March of 2007. For information about Dean Wegner and Team Dean call (602) 445-1560, or visit the Web site at www.teamdean.com.

His reputation for client loyalty keeps his calendar filled year-round with speaking engagements geared towards mortgage originators and real estate professionals. Plus, Wegner’s expertise in the residential lending market recently became the focus of two televised newscasts in August 2006. The NBC Nightly News channeled an August 2, 2006, segment around the topic of adjustable rate mortgages, also called ARMs. NBC News chief financial correspondent, Anne Thompson, contacted Dean Wegner for the news feature, “Have An Adjustable Rate Mortgage? Wegner helped to set the interview in motion by acting as the liaison between the show’s producers, interviewer, cameraman and staging the filming at his client’s Phoenix home. That night 10,000,000 viewers tuned in to hear the monetary benefits Wegner’s client reaped by switching from an ARM loan to a fixed-rate mortgage. The picture of the loan industry looked even brighter when a “Mortgage Rates Continue Falling” segment aired on KPHO-TV Channel 5 on August 26, 2006. CBS 5 newscaster Jason Barry interviewed Wegner as 30-year fixed rate mortgages dropped to the lowest rate since April 2006. Wegner predicts that the drop in mortgage rates is a good sign that may lead to shorter listing periods and possibly result in an increase of home sales. Locally his public presentations have kept Wegner in hot demand as a public speaker at real estate schools, radio stations, seminar’s and real estate companies’ quarterly and annual meetings. Wegner addresses 200-plus real estate agents and mortgage originators at the November 2006 Summit in Austin, Texas, sponsored by The CORE Training, Inc.
